A free reading guide for teachers. Paste a headline, a study title or a link. We show you how we rated it if it is already in our tracker. If it is not, a few plain questions show you what kind of evidence it is.
This is a reading guide, not a rating. The tool does not rate studies. Our ratings come from fixed, published rules applied to each study, and only a person reading the full paper can award Level 4. What you type stays in your browser. It is not sent to us or saved.
Not in our tracker? Read it with these questions
Answer from the study itself (the abstract is usually enough), not from the headline. Pick "It doesn't say" when the study does not tell you.
How to read our levels
Levels go from 1 to 4. Higher means stronger evidence from real learners. Letters mark items that are not studies of real learners (T, C, N) or that we cannot rate yet (?). See all labels in plain words and how we rate studies.
